Gasshuku Summer Aikido Retreat

Join us for our 6th annual Gasshuku Aikido retreat, in the Kitsap Peninsula Forest, on the shores of the Puget Sound. Celebrate our community in an immersive training weekend with great food, great training, and the great outdoors. 

Details

Location: Camp Indianola, Indianola, Kitsap Peninsula, WA (1-hour drive from Tacoma)

Dates: Thursday evening August 27 - Sunday afternoon August 30. Thursday night optional arrival, setup, and relaxation for an early start on Friday. Classes, including body arts and weapons, will be held morning and afternoon both Friday and Saturday, as well as Sunday morning. You are welcome to join for part of the event, but we cannot offer partial registration fees (apply for a scholarship if needed)

Lodging: Dorm beds or tentsites are available (please indicate preference in registration, and note that this year, there is a $20 fee per tent)

Meals: Communal cooking in a fully stocked commercial kitchen

Activities: Weapons, body arts, meditation, camping, cooking

Who can come? Everyone! All adult members welcomed. Teens with parent permission. Youth with parent chaperone.

• Through August 1 – Tacoma Aikikai Member Preregistration $235 (plus additional $20 fee per tent)

• After August 1 – Late Registration $265 (plus additional $20 fee per tent)
