Spring Seminar with Chris Mulligan Shihan

Join us in welcoming Chris Mulligan Shihan, from Aikido Kyoto, back to the Pacific Northwest for Tacoma Aikikai's Spring Seminar.
 
Mulligan Sensei began training Aikido in 1972. In 1978, he traveled to Japan and ended up staying 11 years, training mostly at the Aikikai Hombu dojo. At Hombu, he trained with all the Shihan, following mainly I. Shibata Shihan. Upon returning to the states, Chris Sensei, along with Yoko Okamoto Sensei, established Portland Aikikai under the tutelage of Yamada Shihan of NY Aikikai. Chris Sensei draws on his experience to explore the deep structure of and connection between aikido body arts and weapons.
 
Due to ongoing concerns with the spread of COVID-19, mitigation measures are in place: 1.) To register, you must qualify as fully vaccinated and/or boosted (as defined by CDC: 2 weeks after completion of a two dose mRNA series or a one dose Johnson vaccine, and boosted if after 5 months since your last vaccine); 2.) Mask are worn in the dojo and while training; and 3.) Pre-registration is required. To adapt to changing conditions, protocols may be updated as advised by the CDC. Any changes will be updated on this website and communicated to all registered attendees.

Because of uncertainties of Covid-19, all registrations are fully refundable if you cannot attend. Please let us know of any changes in plans at your earliest convenience. Likewise, we will communicate early and often with any modifications on our end. Thank you for your understanding.
